I often get message
ORA-04031: unable to allocate 4096 bytes of shared memory ("shared pool","PBSDE","PL/SQL MPCODE","BAMIMA: Bam Buffer")
Oracle resumes normal operation only after shutdown and restart.
I use Linux RH-6.2 kernel 2.2.16 128 MB RAM, Oracle 8.0.5

How can I fix this?

Thanks in advance.
Ilia

Hi,

Try increasing the SHARED_POOL_SIZE parameter in your INIT.ORA file.

Hope it helps.

Best regards
Frank
