2GB is an OS limit in most of the UNIX system. I know that there is an exception on AIX if large volume groups are used, in which case it can you beyond 2GB limit, I think upto 8GB (I said I think).

Hi The 2gb limit for the file is actually the ASCCI file limit, which exists on all the unix systems too.regardless of Oracle version
set the ulimit in the unix file system to unlimited for enableing the large file system(option availblae in IAIX4.3.x)
and solaris 6.x onwards]]
but since this is the ASCII file limit we can't do anything in tha
But there are alternate mathods are avilable such as
using the pipe commands and cat commands
If u want i can send u the exact syntax
Bye
