I am trying to compile Oratcl on Solaris 8 to work with oracle 9i. I get a error libclntsh.so is wrong elfclass --->elfclass 64.
Can anyone help me?

Thanks

You'll find that the Oracle distribution comes with both 32 and 64-bit libraries - look for lib and lib32 under ORACLE _HOME.

Use the --enable-64 (or is it --enable-64bit?) flag when you use the configure command to build the Makefile for both the basic Tcl interpreter and Oratcl (and any other extensions you might be using for that matter).

Use ./configure --help to see the available flags for configure.

Oratcl must be built with the same 32-bit or 64-bit librar
