Hi,

I am attempting to set up a client on a PC so that it can connect to an Oracle 8i database server. I have installed Oracle 8i client on the
client's PC. On a separate server I have installed an Oracle 8i database. I need to know why and how to fix my problem.
I used Net8 Assistant and I recieve to following error message:
ORA-03113-end of file communication channel.

note: The oracle server is running on Windows Professional 2000. The database is up and running.
The client is a programmer who needs to access the database. The client's PC is also Windows 2000
Professional.
