I am using an Oracle Java thin driver (classes12.zip) to connect to Oracle 8.1.6 and found that the listener is not using the standard 1521 as I found using the lsnrctl utility. My DBA thinks the port may change if the listener is restarted. The driver can only see the non standard port (#52716). Is this something that is configurable? Could the listener change its port if restarted?
