I am looking to migrate from an 8i database to a 10g database.
We will be upgrading to the 10g developer suite as well but currently using 9i as I am not sure if the 10g developer suite will work with the 9i repository.

1. any tips on the repository migration?
2. will 10g developer suite work with a 9i repository?

When you say repository, do you mean database or Designer Repository?

If database, then you should place your question in the database forum.

If designer repository, then you should place your question in the designer forum.

But to answer your questions.
1) Backup your current database twice and follow the upgrade instructions exactly. It is VERY simple to upgrade.
2) 10g Form Builder will work with a 9DB.
