Hello all, some advice would be appreciated. Scenario is this:

Setting up test Oracle 8.1.7 environment on AIX 5.1 from AIX 4.3.3 server.
I've copied over all Oracle files and data files and files in /etc such as oratab, tnsnames.ora and listener.ora. I also copied over the pw-syscall from the 4.3.3 server as the existing on the 5.1 server was pw-syscall4.1. When trying to run svrmgrl the following errors occur:

TEST>svrmgrl
exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program svrmgrl because of the following errors:
0509-130 Symbol resolution failed for svrmgrl because:
0509-136 Symbol pw_post (number 263) is not exported from
dependent module /unix.
0509-136 Symbol pw_wait (number 264) is not exported from
dependent module /unix.
0509-136 Symbol pw_config (number 265) is not exported from
dependent module /unix.
0509-136 Symbol aix_ora_pw_version3_required (number 266) is not exported from
dependent module /unix.
0509-192 Examine .loader section symbols with the
'dump -Tv' command.

I think i'm correct in assuming that the errors stem from the pw-syscall which is called from the inittab. When trying to run the pw-syscall from command line as root the following error occurs:

/etc/loadext -l /etc/pw-syscall

SYS_SINGLELOAD: No such file or directory
kmid: 0 (0x0)
path: '-l'
libpath: ''

Any ideas please?
