Does Solaris 9 64 bit have a 4 gig limit on the amount of memory it can share? (shmax) We have 32 Gigs and I would really like to set the sga_aggrett_target to about 10 gigs

Oracle 10.1.0.2 Solaris 9 all patches

Hi,

Depending on your kernel parameters, you should be able to create much bigger memory segments on a 64-bit Solaris machine.

Best regards.
