Greetings ... I am tasked with migrating our 8.0.5 databases, running on Tru64 v4.0f, to version 10g running on Tru64 v5.1b(-3).

From what I can tell, the earliest version that is needed to make the jump directly is 8.0.6.

Has anyone done this kind of migration?

E-mail replies preferred ...

thanks in advance

If the DB is not too big, create a new 10g database and export/ import the data. The Oracle 10g Upgrade Guide explains the steps in detail.

Best regards.
