Hi there!

I run the runInstaller an click on "Next" ...

The next thing that happens is a failure window telling me:
(Translated from german)

The Program could not quit properly. An internal error occured. Please the Oracle-Support the following data:
"unknown"
"/tmp/OraInstall2006-09-14_07-43-17PM/orainstall2006-09-14_07-43-17PM.err"

"/tmp/OraInstall2006-09-14_07-43-17PM/orainstall2006-09-14_07-43-17PM.out"

I don't have any idea what that means! Can someone please help me out a bit?

I installed following this: http://www.nostalgix.org/blog/2005/05/install-oracle-10g-on-mac-os-x-104.html

as the user orcale and unzipped into /Applications/oracle/stage/Disc1

I havent done any installation on OS X.
But can give a try.
Please post only the relevant contents of the said error log.
Hope you did all that is said in document and did a reboot.

Hey!

No, no reboot until now. Not used to since switched to apple Smile

I did everything exactly like it is said in the document. The only difference is in the path "/Volumes/Mactintosh" ... this is /Volumes/Macintosh HD" on my system.

Please post only the relevant contents of the said error log.
What errorlog? Sorry, really don't know which log it is and where to look for...
