Workflow & Alerts
· Involved in development of Workflow for Cycle Count Tolerance exceed limit when a row is inserted into MTL_CYCLE_COUNT_ENTRIES Table and sends for approval to Inventory Manager as per the business requirement.
· Developed Alert to notify Inventory Manager with e-mail for shipment, which is due on Daily Basis.

Order Management
· Customized Standard Order Management Workflow for Shipment notification to Sales Representative after the order is shipped so that he can be keeps a follow up.
· Customized Standard Order Management Workflow of Comprehensive type for automatic creation of Work Order when Sales Order is booked.
· Customized OM Order line Workflow for Comprehensive Order type. For ATO item, Oracle Standard Workflow requires user interaction. The steps required are to submit Concurrent Programs for Auto-Create ATO configurations and Auto-Create Final Assembly Orders. The Workflow is modified to accommodate automatic submission of these concurrent programs depending on user requirement. User profile is created to hold value for automatic or manual submission of concurrent program.
· Customized OM Order line Workflow for Drop Shipment. Oracle Standard Workflow requires manual submission of Purchase Release and Requisition Import Program. The Client required to run above concurrent program manually as well as automatically. To achieve this Profile was set up which will decide the branching in Workflow.
· Customized Standard Order Management Workflow to accommodate Order as well as Return in same Sales Order. New Transaction Type had to be created.

· Form listing all the Customers reaching Credit limit based on Orders and Invoices.
Descriptive Flex fields
· Customized Descriptive Flex field for Pricing Contexts in Oracle Pricing and created Price List Formula, Modifier, Qualifier and Price List and implemented in Standard Sales Order.
Setups & Functional
Explained how to process ATO item Sales Order to Powered Users.
Explain how to convert internal Requisition to Internal Sales Order.
Explain how to process Drop Shipment Sales Order to the Powered Users.
Used API to create concurrent program & executable, to submit concurrent program, to launch
workflow, set & retrieve messages. Used API related to user profiles.
Registration of New Tables and Forms for Customized Applications.
Enabled descriptive flex field in all forms to accommodate customization.

Oracle Work In Process
· Shift-In-Charge to keep trace of materials that are delivered directly to the Shop Floor so Report was developed for it.· Created Report for Production Status of Discrete Jobs for Production Manager based on work orders, which are completed.
Developed a Workflow for Discrete Jobs to notify Shift-In-Charge. He should respond whether Job could be completed based on loading on Machines for a specific job.

In 11.0.3, how do we identify if a BOM has changed.
The change could be due to

1. Addition of Item
2. Deletion of item
3. Update of item
4. Updation of quantity

Is there a way to get the history of these changes.

Description :
„h A 5000 crore ISO Certified, TPM Practising Company deals with the manufacturing of Steel tubes generally used in automobile industries.
„h All the Systems are fully computerised.
„h It has it's own Software Development Unit for it's own requirements.
„h Development of new Software and Onsite troubleshooting related to computer software/peripherals and administering NT server and Exchange Server.
„h The system is developed in Oracle 7.3, Form 4.5 Reports 2.5 under Sun Solaris / NT Environment.

Job Responsibility: Looking into Network, systems problem and new development of any new software of all the units of the Western Region which includes main plant at Shirwal, Regional Offices at Mumbai and Pune, and Warehouses at Aurangabad, Nashik, Baroda and Pune.


1. Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)

„« The system is related with the Plant wide Maintenance.
„« The system deals with keeping track of all the problems and their solutions And horizontal deployment of same type of problems solution everywhere.

2. Tool Room Maintenance System

„« It is responsible for keeping records of all the tools being used in the plant for completing the month orders and tracking the existence of required tools and combination of tools for any order.

3. Electrical Energy Management System

„« It is responsible for keeping records of all the Meter reading and Production made on daily basis.

4. Branch Accounting System

„« The system is related with Accounts Department
„« The system is responsible for keeping records related to the sales invoices, customers, and debit/credit details and outstanding in terms of goods and cashes both.
„« The system is responsible for giving query results and various reports related to sales to Management and Marketing Departments.
„« The system is also responsible for sending month-end sales data to the head-office.

5. Systems Equipment Maintenance System for ISO

„« It is responsible for keeping records of all the failures and preventive actions taken for all the hardware¡¦s/software failures occurred in the Plant.

6. Conversion of the payroll system from semi automated to fully automated system.
„« The attendance of employees is stored by the punch card system built in Fox Pro.
„« The payroll is generated in Oracle ¡VDeveloper as backend and front end.
„« The data in the payroll till date needs to be fed manually after taking a print of the report from the punch card system.
„« The FoxPro database now is to be converted into oracle database and the same data is used in the payroll system.

7. Medical Accounting System
„« The system is related with the Personnel and Accounts Department
„« The Employees claim the Medicals. The medical bill details are to be entered by the employee, which is stored in the database, and a Medical bill related to that is printed. The Personnel Department confirms the bill in the system after which the Accounts Department clears the bill.

8. Conversion of Forms & Reports into newer version & solving Y2K Bug
„« During the conversion of Forms 3.0 and Reports 1.0 to Forms 4.5 and Reports 2.0, I was involved in the testing of nearly 200 live forms and approximately 500 reports.
„« During testing errors occurring was to be solved by me by regenerating the forms into its FMB, .fmx, .fmt for editing and the Y2K bug was to be solved together with it.

Cost Saving:
„Ï Installed Fax/Modem in PC and started receiving Faxes thru PC, thus saving cost of Paper, toner and cost of a fax machine.

„Ï Reduced the Cost of the AMC being given for all Systems related hardware to 50%.

„Ï Controlled the printing on laser printer thru NT by restricting the users.

Time Saving
„Ï Developed a system for IBR related work, which used to consume nearly 4-5 hrs per day of person when done manually, reduced to 1 hr every day. Accuracy of the data was another issue, which was maintained in the system. Very much appreciated by the IBR Govt. Officials.

„Ï Energy Management System reduced the time of an engineer to zero for making an Energy consumption report machine wise, which used to take nearly two days. Now report can be had online on every day basis thus controlling he energy consumption machine wise on daily basis.

„Ï Systems Equipments maintenance system once connected to all the units in western region reduced my traveling time as I could see the problems sitting at my main plant.

Manpower Saving
„Ï Developed a system for Tool Room, which reduced the tool selection time to zero, based on the order.
„Ï Break down in the Shop Floor PC due to Operators Mishandling required one person for keeping the PC¡¦s in working condition. Restricted the users to use only their required software thus reducing one man for handling such problems. The same was implemented in Main plant at Chennai and other units to avoid such conditions.
„Ï Received Presidents CASH Award for the achievements.
„Ï Received the best KAIZENEE award in the overall plant performance
